Announcement: FSM Observer Recruitment 2023

The National Oceanic Resources Management Authority (NORMA), FSM National Government is currently recruiting interested individuals from the states of Yap, Chuuk, Pohnpei and Kosrae to be trained and certified as FSM Fisheries Observer. To be eligible, an interested individual must be a high school graduate, age from 21 to 40, hold no criminal record, mentally and physically fit, and must have a valid passport with no active police record or known cases overseas.

All 4 states in the FSM will be 1) administered with a screening test; 2) pre-selection candidates and 3) interviewed. 

The screening test will be administered on the dates indicated below for each respective states and the successful candidates will be recruited for further observer training. The screening test will be conducted in the FSM States as follows.

• Yap Pre-Selection Test – April 05-07, 2023
• Chuuk Pre-Selection Test – April 13-14, 2023
• Kosrae Pre-Selection Test – April 25-26, 2023
• Pohnpei Pre-Selection Test – May 01-02, 2023
