Computer Operator II, Mr. Lebehn, Jr., is currently en route to Noumea, New Caledonia to undergo an Attachment to the Secretariat of Pacific Community on Data management.  Deputy Director Pangelinan will join him during the week of 10-14 September to attend the 3rd meeting f the South Pacific Regional Fisheries Management Organization (SPRFMO)

Manager of NORMA Licensing, Statistics & Computer Branch will be attending a meeting or consultation between FFA members and Japan.  This meeting will be in Tokyo, Japan on the 10th of September 2007.

There will be a workshop of the WTO/Pacific Island Forum Secretariat (PIFS) in Nadi, Fiji during August 27-31, 2007 on the Doha Development Agenda Negotiations and Fisheries Trade-Related Issues for Pacific Island Economies.  The workshop is designed to promote enhanced awareness of key WTO issues and proposals in selected areas; exchange information on implications of existing disciplines and practices at national, regional and multilateral levels; and discuss capacity building needs, especially with a view to assisting Pacific island economies to participate more effectively in WTO negotiating activities. The 3rd Regular Session of the WCPFC Scientific Committee (SC3) will be held in Honolulu, Hawaii during August 13-24, 2007.  Prior to that, there will be a FFA Science Working Group meeting in preparation for SC3.

Ms. Loretta Lolyn Rettin has joined the Authority on August 01, 2007 as the Administrative Officer, NORMA.
